Rachel Schneider
Rachel Schneider is the founder and CEO of Canary, an employee relief platform that enables organizations to provide workers with emergency grants in times of financial need. She is the co-author of The Financial Diaries: How American Families Cope in a World of Uncertainty (Princeton University Press), an Axiom Business Book Award Silver Medal winner in Economics.
Her research has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, and Forbes, and she has appeared on NPR's Marketplace with Kai Ryssdal.
Rachel brings experience from Merrill Lynch, the Financial Health Network, and The Aspen Institute, where she served as entrepreneur-in-residence. She holds a J.D./M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from UC Berkeley, and credits her commitment to using innovative finance as a force for social good to her early days as a VISTA Volunteer.
